History & Founders

Conceived by Gregory J. Leyba (designer) and Gregory A. Behncke (business mind), the business was aptly named using their common first name, becoming Gregory and Company—Innovators in Floral Artistry. The first shop opened in a small Brookfield location on Greenfield Ave at Sunnyslope Rd, where it flourished for ten years. In 2004, the store moved to the intersection of Bluemound and Brookfield Rd and later relocated to the atrium of Brookfield's Galleria West, where it now operates as Gregory and Company Galleria Florist. In 2006, the business faced a major loss with the passing of Gregory Behncke due to complications of emphysema at age 51. Since then, the enterprise has been solely run by Gregory Leyba, supported by a great "Company" that continues to drive innovation in floral design.
